3 Essential Elements of a [Sticky] Money Making Blog

A blog has the potential to make you money. Do you believe that?  make money blogging laptop

Every day, thousands of new blogs are launched.

Too often, we neglect the fact that a blog is more than a personal diary. You need to see your blog as though it’s a real business. Actually, it is.

It’s actually a great platform where you can showcase your expertise and make money doing what you love, either as a consultant or via private advertising.

Sure, there are other great ways to make money from a blog, but that’s not the objective of this post.

I felt we all need to get ready, so that opportunities to profit from our blogs won’t elude us.

I want to show you the three elements of a stick money making blog. In order words, if you know a blog that makes 5 or 6 figures annually, the secrets of their success are transparent. I’ll show you right now.

1.      Personality

Do people recognize you when they visit your blog? I see a lot of abstract blogs with no persona. Most of the time, we bring our offline business tricks to our online ventures. We tend to appear anonymous.

But that’s not how it should be done. In fact, being real and personal to your target audience is the secret spice to making money online, from your blog.

In my previous posts, I shared a post that shows how difficult selling to a stranger is. Ironically, it gets even harder when the marketer/blogger is a stranger to his audience. Start by adding your personal picture and real name.

You could use pseudonym (not your real name) at other business models, but when it comes to blogging, being personal is the first key to success. It’ll build your brand faster and stand you out from the teaming crowd.

2.      Exclusive contents

We’ve been told countless times that quality content is King online. For your blog to attract focused audience, you need to continually provide the helpful contents needed to enhance their lives and businesses.

However, for your content to be labeled “quality,” it must be exclusive to your readers. In order words, the articles and blog posts you write must be original, valuable and carefully written for your tribe. It must not appear elsewhere, either in part of in full.

Successful money making blogs and websites have exclusive contents and that makes them the go-to resource for a target group of people. Start by studying your audience to know what they truly want – then craft contents to meet their needs.

3.      Automated marketing systems

If you want your blog to make real profit online, then you’ve to start automating. Automation is quite different from using blackhat techniques. On the contrary, it simply means utilizing helpful tools to your advantage.

The people you’re serving at your blog would appreciate the speed & accuracy at which you solve their problems.

For instance, it takes a lot of time to tweet and market your blog at Twitter on a daily basis. But by using tools such as Hootsuite, Tweetadder and Twiends, you can increase the number of people following you and schedule your tweets seamlessly.

And when you want to research keywords, there are helpful tools that can scour major search engines and deliver long-tail keywords to you.

You need to start automating. Building a system is more important than building a business. Successful bloggers and internet marketers would travel the world, and still make a lot of money by month end. What’s the secret? Automation, my dear!

Take your blog to the top

And finally, your blog can grow and start earning decent monthly income if you think-out-of-the-box. How? Start connecting with those who are already successful.

Become a close ally. Read their e-books and listen to their podcasts. Read their blogs and comment. Attend their webinar and volunteer to help them out.

The quickest way to know what an expert has in store for tomorrow is to study their marketing materials. No one is farther from his or her words. See you ahead!
